Home-Educated Sports Sessions in Peterborough

At EcoCoach PE Solutions, we understand the unique needs of home-educated children and their families. That’s why we’ve created the Green Home Ed Crew—a dynamic sports program designed to foster social connections, encourage physical activity, and provide a welcoming space for children and parents alike.

What is the Green Home Ed Crew?

The Green Home Ed Crew is a weekly sports session tailored for home-educated children aged 5–11 years. Our program is built around the principles of child-led play and the Play Their Way philosophy, where children have the freedom to choose activities, explore their interests, and grow in a supportive environment. Parents also have the opportunity to connect with like-minded families, creating a valuable community network.

Why Join the Green Home Ed Crew?

  • Social Interaction: A fun and friendly space to make new friends and build social skills.
  • Tailored Activities: Each session adapts to the interests and needs of the children participating, ensuring everyone feels included and engaged.
  • Skill Development: Activities are designed to enhance motor skills, teamwork, and confidence.
  • Non-Competitive Fun: We focus on play, creativity, and collaboration rather than competition, fostering a stress-free environment.

What Happens During a Session?

Our sessions are designed to be flexible and enjoyable, with a clear structure that supports both routine and creativity:

  • Welcome and Warm-Up: Each session starts with a short group activity to energise and engage everyone.
  • Choice-Based Play: Children select from a variety of activities, including ball games, obstacle courses, and creative movement.
  • Group Collaboration: Fun, non-competitive games encourage teamwork and interaction.
  • Cool-Down and Reflection: The session ends with calming activities like stretching and a chance to reflect on the day's highlights.
